How to Join
Joining a clinical trial is easier than most people think. Here's exactly what happens, from the moment you reach out to the day the study ends.
The Roadmap
Every patient's journey looks a little different — but these are the six milestones you'll pass through with MedX.
Fill out our short form, call us, or email us. Tell us a little about yourself and what conditions you're interested in. No commitment — just a conversation.
A MedX coordinator calls you back within one business day. We'll ask about your medical history, current medications, and goals. If a trial looks like a fit, we'll explain the details. You ask as many questions as you want.
If you'd like to move forward, you'll come in for a screening visit with the study physician. They'll review your history, perform basic tests (blood work, vitals), and walk you through the informed consent document. You leave with everything in writing — no pressure to decide on the spot.
Take the consent form home. Read it carefully. Discuss with family. Ask every question that comes to mind. If — and only if — you're comfortable, you sign and officially enroll. You can change your mind at any time, for any reason.
You attend regular study visits at your physician's office. You receive the study medication (or placebo, depending on the trial), get comprehensive health monitoring, and are paid per visit with travel reimbursement. Your coordinator checks in between visits and is always reachable.
When the study ends, you'll have a final visit and sometimes a follow-up call weeks later. You can request a summary of study findings. And you'll know you helped advance medicine for every patient who comes after you.
Things to Remember
Visits, study medication, tests, and procedures are covered. No insurance needed.
All data is de-identified. Your name never appears in publications or sponsor reports.
Per-visit stipends and travel reimbursement, all outlined in the consent form upfront.
No penalty, no pressure. Your regular doctor and your regular care are never affected.
